The International Press and Environment Summit organized by News World Nature has begun in Kuching, Malaysia. The aim of this summit is to improve media coverage of environmental matters. This international forum will provide a platform for debate and discussion on how environmental information can be improved. This Summit hopes to inspire, educate and provoke positive thinking and action, essential for a better understanding of the threats that attack our environment.

The Biodiversity Foundation will be represented at this event by its Director of Communication, Mónica Pérez de las Heras, who will present the Biodiversity Report Award in tomorrow’s session. This award values the efforts to disseminate the issue of biodiversity in all participating countries.
