IV edition of the Awards for Best Practice in Sustainable Mobility

The Renault Foundation for Sustainable Mobility and the Club for Excellence in Sustainability, with the support of the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment, today presented the IV Awards for Best Practice in Sustainable Mobility, for which more than thirty nominations were received.

The Minister of Agriculture, Food and the Environment, Isabel García Tejerina, was in charge of presenting the Awards to the representatives of BBVA, Sant Cugat del Vallés City Council and Koiki in the categories of Large Companies, Public Administration and SMEs/Entrepreneurs, respectively.

García Tejerina stressed “the need to change the way we move around cities to achieve sustainable urban development. For the minister, this change in transport is a challenge, but it also offers great opportunities”.
 
In the Large Company category, BBVA has been awarded for its “BBVA City Urban Mobility Plan” project, which aims to encourage greater use of public transport and a more rational use of private vehicles so as to facilitate access to the new BBVA City for both employees and visitors. while minimizing the impact on the neighborhood and the city.

Next, the City Council of Sant Cugat del Vallès has received the Award in the Public Administration category for the “Company Displacement Plan” which complies with the obligation of the public administration centers of more than 200 workers to provide a program that improves mobility management, Promote sustainable travel and monitor your public indicators.

In the category of SMEs/Entrepreneurs, Koiki has been awarded for the project “Koki, delivery by people close to you”, an example of Social Innovation for the sustainable delivery of the last mile, which aims to provide a solution to the current problem of home distribution of urban parcels and the environmental problems derived from this type of distribution.

This is the IV Edition of the Awards that have the director of the Biodiversity Foundation, Sonia Castañeda, among the members of the Jury.
