The director of the Biodiversity Foundation, Sonia Castañeda, chaired the 14th entrepreneurship meeting “Nature observation: an opportunity for green entrepreneurship”, organised within the framework of the Red emprendeverde project and with the participation of experts and entrepreneurs linked to this sector.

The aim of this session was to promote the exchange of experiences and knowledge in the field of ecotourism aimed at nature observation, raising awareness of the opportunities for green entrepreneurship in this field. During the meeting, various entrepreneurs have announced initiatives that promote ecotourism linked to the observation of nature.

It has been possible to learn about the keys to the promotion of ecotourism and ornithological tourism , while contributing to rural development in areas of the Natura 2000 Network, a nature tourism initiative that allows travel through European wetlands following the migratory route of two species of birds or how the training, research and wildlife observation tourism carried out by Cetaceans and navigation are compatible with the conservation of the environment marine.

After the interventions , the entrepreneurs exchanged experiences with the rest of the attendees and had the opportunity to consult both the speakers and the entrepreneurs of the meeting.

This meeting is one of the activities of the Emprendeverde Network, which is co-financed by the European Social Fund. It has been developed within the framework of the MADbird Fair on the Paseo del Prado in Madrid.
