The different editions of the Responsible Beach Bar Awards promoted by the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment have already distributed more than 50,000 euros among the beachfront hospitality establishments that have shown greater social commitment and greater concern for the conservation of their natural environment.
 
In this edition, the best initiatives developed by these establishments will be incentivized with a total of 9,000 euros that will be distributed in five prizes of 1,500 euros and in a “Special Mention of the Public in Social Networks” that has the same amount and that will be chosen by the public among the ten finalist beach bars. Thus, in addition to being evaluated by the jury, they will be able to put themselves in the hands of their customers and see the added value of being a responsible beach bar.
 
The jury values both the environmental and social results, the efficiency of the initiative presented, the innovative nature and the continuity over time of the responsible activity. And the establishments, in addition to the economic awards, will gain extra visibility by recycling, improving the facilities and innovating with the intention of maintaining their commitment to a clean environment.
 
The beach bars can participate in this IV edition until June 22, the date on which the registration period ends, and voting on social networks can be made from July 10 to August 31.
