The theme of the week in terms of climate change is, without a doubt, the new attack on the IPCC.

This is what we pointed out in the most recent issue of the PuntoClima newsletter. The world’s media echo the report of an independent inter-academic council commissioned by the United Nations, which was released last Monday in New York, in which it says that the IPCC should “fundamentally” modify its organization and procedures. Le Monde outlines the reasons given in the document to suggest a renewal in its leadership. Pachauri prefers to argue that he cannot leave without finishing his work on the fifth report (it is scheduled to be published in 2013).
