The Secretary of State for the Environment, Federico Ramos, spoke at the EU coordination meeting, under the Danish presidency of the EU, within the framework of the preparatory sessions for the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development “Rio+20”, which begins today in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).

Federico Ramos has shown Spain’s support for the decision taken by the Danish presidency to promote the document presented by the Government of Brazil to the delegations participating in this summit.

The text, entitled “The future we want”, has been approved after lengthy negotiations and will be presented to the leaders participating in the Rio summit.
