The Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment is celebrating, at its headquarters in Seville, together with the INCYDE Foundation, a demo-day conference for investors and a showcase for business projects. The objective is to give visibility to the entrepreneurs of the Emprendeverde Network and put them in contact with potential investors.

The two activities, the demo-day and the Project Showcase, have focused, respectively, on the presentation of projects to potential investors and on the dissemination of companies linked to the green economy. Some of the companies that have participated in this presentation are Green Way, a web platform for sustainable labour mobility aimed at companies and public organisations; Ciclogreen, an online platform where companies reward citizens for their sustainable mobility practices, and Métrica 6, a company dedicated to the development and marketing of Dolphin, a water-saving device in the home, which will allow the user to reduce up to 40% of the drinking water consumed.

In line with this day, a presentation was also held, by a business angel, on business creation and investment.

The event is part of the SAAF project of the INCYDE Foundation, focused on meeting the needs of all parties involved in the area of entrepreneurship: from guidance on the different ways of financing and how to opt for them (the most frequent demand of entrepreneurs) to financial education of the same, one of the main requirements of investors. This project has been in development since last year and to date it has already trained 400 people.

This day is part of the calendar of activities programmed by the Biodiversity Foundation for this quarter at its headquarters in Seville. Among them, the course “Ecology applied to companies”, which will be held between October 8 and 30 with the collaboration of the Menéndez Pelayo International University.

The “Conference on the Common Fisheries Policy, Fisheries Sustainability and Information Provided to the Final Consumer on Fishery Products” will also take place on 24 November and the “Presentation of the results of the Greenhouse Gas Conversion and Recovery project” on 12 December.
