The 2010 Biodiversity Forum begins: Sustainable ways to conserve and equitably share biodiversity: Implementing the 2010 goals. The 20th Meeting of the Global Biodiversity Forum will take place today and tomorrow in Curitiba, Brazil, during the eighth meeting of the Conference of Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity. Topics to be discussed are financing biodiversity actions to achieve the 2010 targets; measuring progress towards the 2010 goals; think globally and act locally; and reaffirming the role of biodiversity.

The Biodiversity Foundation, represented at this meeting by the general director, María Artola, and the director of the International department, is the only Spanish institution participating in this forum.
