Yesterday took place in Madrid the presentation of the beneficiary entities of the 2017 call for subsidies of the Empleaverde Program, an initiative coordinated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and the Environment, through the Biodiversity Foundation, and for which this year 7.8 million euros will be allocated.
This program aims to promote and improve employment, entrepreneurship and the environment. It is co-financed by the Employment, Training and Education Operational Programme (POEFE) of the European Social Fund (ESF). This Programme aims to create employment and support the creation and consolidation of companies in the green and blue economy, with a special focus on a low-carbon economy, a circular economy and the Natura 2000 Network.
In this first call for grants, 69 projects have been selected out of the 119 initially presented, with a total endowment of 7.8 million euros. The selected projects will have a maximum duration of 12 months.
The empleaverde Programme, which will be developed during the period 2014-2023, contemplates the publication of at least 6 annual calls for subsidies, co-financed by the ESF, with the publication of a new call expected in the first quarter of 2018.
