The Biodiversity Foundation also shuts down for the planet

The Biodiversity Foundation joins the Earth Hour 2011 campaign, an international call by WWF that seeks to raise awareness among the population in the fight against climate change.

Between 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday, March 26, the three headquarters of the Biodiversity Foundation (the one on Calle Fortuny, in Madrid, the Spanish Wetlands Center, in Gandía, and the Biodiversity Forum in Seville) will keep their lights off as a symbolic contribution to the defense of the environment and the fight against climate change.

In this way, the Foundation echoes the global celebration for the health of the Earth. Sixty symbolic minutes, in which individuals, communities, companies and governments from all over the world turn off the lights of monuments, streets, businesses and homes in a public awareness of the climate problem.
