The Biodiversity Foundation has participated in the organization of the conference “Air Quality in Health”, together with the Foundation for Health Research (FUINSA) and the General Directorate of Environmental Quality and Evaluation and Natural Environment of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment (MAGRAMA). The conference was held on January 11 in the assembly hall of the ministry, in the Madrid headquarters of the Plaza de San Juan de la Cruz
The event was attended by the Secretary of State for the Environment, Federico Ramos, the Secretary General for Health and Consumer Affairs of the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality, Pilar Farjas, and the President of the National Council of Specialties in Health Sciences and President of the Foundation for Health Research (FUINSA). FUINSA has organised this conference with the aim of informing and raising awareness among citizens and social actors about the importance of air quality management, while serving as an event to disseminate the initiatives promoted by the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality and the Ministry of the Interior. actions that aim to establish collaboration and clear action in this environment. In this sense, three thematic tables have been scheduled during the day: “Air Quality and Health”, “Air Quality Management: A need for everyone” and “The citizen and their commitment to air quality”.
This is an activity that is part of the action program for the prevention, reduction and control of pollution and promotion of health through the improvement of air quality, “Air-Health Alliance”, of the Foundation for Health Research (FUINSA), a beneficiary project of the call for grants from the Biodiversity Foundation for activities related to biodiversity. climate change and sustainable development.
