This seminar, which is being held in Costa Rica from November 28 to December 2, has focused on analyzing and assessing the different ecotourism projects that the European Agency for International Cooperation is promoting in Latin America to facilitate environmental sustainability. One of the objectives of this seminar is to publish a monograph that collects the results of the seminar on the practical cases of ecotourism in Araucaria XXI and Spanish Cooperation in general.
The Biodiversity Foundation was represented at this event by the director of the International Department, Sonia Castañeda. He has also participated in the ecotourism pilot project for the Central American region, which combines the conservation of the natural and cultural values of the Savegre River Basin (one of the most biodiverse places in Costa Rica) with local development and community participation.
