This initiative seeks to maintain active, open and participatory communication with different audiences.
The Biodiversity Foundation is committed to social networks as platforms for the exchange of experiences and knowledge. That is why a profile has been created on the social network Twitter, with the username @Fbiodiversidad.
The aim of @Fbiodiversidad is to maintain active, open and participatory communication with different audiences: citizens, professionals in the sector, NGOs and the media. It also provides content, resources and advice on biodiversity and natural heritage, rural development, the marine environment, climate change and international cooperation.
The launch of this profile is part of the actions of the Biodiversity in Environments 2.0 Foundation, which began in January 2010, with the creation of a Facebook page. Through this social network, designed at the beginning to make Internet users aware of the International Year of Biodiversity, daily debates are held around current issues related to the environment. Today he has a community of 8,000 followers.
The Biodiversity Foundation is committed to social networks as platforms for the exchange of experiences and knowledge. For this reason, its presence will go beyond horizontal social networks such as Facebook and Twitter, supporting the development of vertical networks with an environmental profile aimed at specialized audiences.
