The Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO), through the Emprendeverde Network , launches new specialized and free services to train and advise on sustainable entrepreneurship. These actions focus on specific topics such as training for entrepreneurs in ecological restoration and green infrastructure.

More than 1,000 people will benefit from these services, which are co-financed by the European Social Fund, seeking to promote new ventures that contribute to a green recovery and the conservation of biodiversity, and to train people who promote, with their ideas and businesses, an ecological transition.

To contribute to the development of the National Strategy for Green Infrastructure and Ecological Connectivity and Restoration (IVCRE), the Biodiversity Foundation offers a “Training in entrepreneurship linked to ecological restoration and green infrastructures” to promote entrepreneurship in the current context of climate emergency and accelerated loss of biodiversity. This action is aimed at entrepreneurs who already have a company created in the last 5 years or who have a business idea and want to undertake an ecological restoration project. This initiative has also offered the possibility of participating free of charge and online in the European Conference on Ecological Restoration, which started on September 5 in Alicante and ends tomorrow, September 9. For more information, you can consult the website of the Emprendeverde Network.

With the aim of training entrepreneurs in the creation and launch of sustainable, innovative businesses with a positive impact, the third edition of the “Emprendeverde Itineraries” service has been launched. Those residents in Spain who have a business idea related to organic farming, the renaturation and restoration of ecosystems, forest management or sustainable fashion, among others, will be able to opt for this free online training.

Participants will be able to write down, depending on the phase in which their business idea is, in the itinerary that best suits their needs and schedule. To respond to all entrepreneurial realities, interested people will also be able to choose between two modalities; one with fixed dates and times, and the other without schedules, for those who prefer to monitor the training in a more autonomous way. Those who wish to participate can obtain more information on the itinerarios.emprendeverde.es website, and can submit their candidacy before October 31.

On the other hand, “Constitute Your Green Company” is a free service focused on the administrative processing process for the creation of a company. Entrepreneurs are trained and advised during the process of setting up their projects. The fourth edition of this initiative is aimed at people from all over Spain who have a fairly advanced business idea and need support in the administrative processing process for the optimal incorporation of their company or to register as a self-employed person. It will be available continuously until June 2023 and interested people can obtain more information or request the service in constituye.emprendeverde.es.

Finally, the fourth edition of “Mentoring Emprendeverde” offers free and personalized mentoring to launch into the market with projects that are one step away from becoming a green company. A team of specialized mentors, with extensive experience in green entrepreneurship, will provide support in areas related to the business model, integration of biodiversity conservation, financing, commercialization, marketing and communication, among others. Registration is open until September 18 through the mentoring.emprendeverde.es website.

All these services offered by the Emprendeverde Network are free and are mainly carried out online. They will have networking meetings to generate synergies between the participating projects, and preference will be given to the participation of people from all over Spain who belong to priority social groups such as women, young people up to 35 years of age, people over 45 years of age, immigrants, people with disabilities and people living in protected areas and/or rural areas.

Participants in these services will be part of the Emprendeverde Network, the largest green entrepreneurship community in the country, made up of more than 10,500 people, and will be able to benefit from all the actions offered, aimed at strengthening their green business and ensuring the optimal start of their activity. In addition, it connects entrepreneurs with people from all over Spain who are interested in and aware of the green economy, with the aim of facilitating opportunities and establishing collaborations.
