The Biodiversity Foundation has launched the “Emprendeverde” training program that will be given by the IESE Business School and ESADE business schools to the 35 pre-finalist entrepreneurs who will compete in the second edition of the Red emprendeverde Awards.

The business school IESE Business School today held the first face-to-face session of the “Grow and Consolidate in Green” training course at its headquarters in Madrid, aimed at entrepreneurs from the 15 candidatures that are eligible for the awards in the category aimed at micro and SMEs already established with potential for growth and job creation in the green economy sector.

This blended course provides entrepreneurs with the keys to develop their strategic growth plan, providing instruments and tools that allow them to optimize their processes of self-assessment, reflection, prioritization and strategic planning in order to take advantage of their growth potential, strengthen their positioning, attract resources and new talent.

The first workshop held today is complemented by a second face-to-face day that will take place on May 23 and with a follow-up of the training through the Internet.

For its part, ESADE will give the “Emprende en Verde” training programme to the entrepreneurs of the 10 nominations of the awards that participate in the first category of the contest, aimed at entrepreneurs who seek to create an innovative company linked to the environment. This face-to-face course will take place on May 20 and 21 at the ESADE campus in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona).

The Biodiversity Foundation promotes these awards within the framework of the Emprendeverde Network, which is co-financed by the European Social Fund through the Operational Programme for Adaptability and Employment 2007-2013. The pre-finalist candidatures and information about the contest can be consulted in the  website of the Emprendeverde Network.
