The Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment, through its Red emprendeverde, participates in “The South Summit”, the largest meeting point for startups, international investors and leading corporations in innovation. Over the course of three days, several of the Network’s entrepreneurs and investors will present their projects and initiatives at the Foundation’s stand, as well as at other side events.
Entities like Metric 6, Cartonlab, Garnatath Beers, Organic Chocolate, Citysens, Ecohortum,Bluemove, Smileat, Trade Winds, Ecoteck, Bluelife Battery or Inneon and investors such as the José Manuel Entrecanales Foundation, AEBAN, Socios Inversores, DemeterPartners and CREAS, will be present during this event to publicize their proposals.
The director of the Biodiversity Foundation, Sonia Castañeda, has participated today in the Startup School with a presentation on “Business opportunities in the green economy” in which he stressed that “there are many experiences of successful companies within the framework of the Emprendeverde Network”, and highlighted sectors such as “energy efficiency, waste treatment or organic agriculture as sectors of great projection in the creation of this type of enterprise”.
The Emprendeverde Network is an initiative of the Biodiversity Foundation to promote the creation and consolidation of companies or new lines of business in activities related to the environment and channel investment towards sustainable economic activities.
It is the first platform aimed at entrepreneurs and investors specialized in green business. It provides a showcase for companies’ products and services, organizes investment photos to channel investment towards sustainable economic activities and develops activities such as meetings and awards.
The South Summit
