The Biodiversity Foundation has received the ASIMELEC Environment Award 2007. It was the director of the Biodiversity Foundation, María Artola, who collected this award today in Madrid.
The 2007 Environment Award recognises the activities of the Biodiversity Foundation in the field of conservation, study and sustainable use of biodiversity. And in particular, its support for the promotion and development of sensitization and awareness initiatives, as well as training in the sustainable use of Information and Communication Technologies, ICT, and the collection and recycling of electronic products.
ASIMELEC, Multisectoral Association of Spanish Electronics and Communications Companies, brings together Spanish companies in the ICT sector. This association awards its awards annually in recognition of individuals to institutions that have contributed extensively to the development and achievement of the objectives and interests of the Information and Communication Technologies sector.
The ASIMELEC 2007 awards are divided into different categories: ASIMELEC Information Society Award, ASIMELEC ICT Award 2007, Environment Award and Associate of the Year Award.
