The Director of Communication and Awareness of the Biodiversity Foundation, Mónica Pérez de las Heras, collects the award given to BioDíver – the children’s section of its website – that has been awarded to it by the nature magazine RED LIFE. The event, organized by this Andalusian publication, is held this afternoon in Huelva.
BioDíver has been chosen by RED LIFE readers as one of the ten best ideas to save nature. This is a special section of the Biodiversity Foundation’s website dedicated to young people. This section, the most dynamic and fun, contains games such as riddles, word searches, “the environmental test”, “the game of errors”, or “guess who sings”. Likewise, the little ones can find information about nature, stories and interesting downloads that teach them to take care of the environment around them. In addition, three endangered species, which have their National Strategy for Conservation, accompany young Internet users on their visits to the website. They are the lynx “Mayú”, the bear “Robin” and the capercaillie “Paquito”. While a girl, Tania, and a boy, Yago, guide the teenagers.
Two new characters have recently joined BioDíver, they are two endangered species, the wolf “Lola” and the Balearic toad or ferreret “Tomeu”. New games such as “Paint and Color,” “The Puzzle,” and “Discover the Character” have also been included.
