2 million euros for private entities that hire a person in a situation of unemployment on a full-time basis and for a minimum period of 6 months.

The deadline for applying for subsidies for the hiring of unemployed people within the framework of the green and/or blue economy is now open.

This call, which has 2 million euros, is co-financed by the European Social Fund and is part of the Empleaverde Program. The objective is to promote the hiring of unemployed people in sustainable economic activities in all sectors, promoting the just transition to a low-carbon and circular economy, integrating biodiversity into management and business processes and making more efficient use of natural resources, constituting an engine of sustainable economic growth and social progress.

In this case, a subsidy is offered to hires that must have been formalized between May 5 and August 17, 2019, indefinitely or for work and service, to people unemployed for a minimum period of 6 months and on a full-time basis, in entities that are directly or indirectly linked to the green and/or blue economy or entities that, not being linked, generate employment that contributes to a sustainable line of business or to the management of an environmental improvement in the entity.

The maximum amount of subsidy that the entity may request will be 2,700 euros, which may be increased by 500 euros in cases where the person hired belongs to one or more of the priority groups established by the ESF: women, young people up to 35 years of age, over 45 years of age, immigrants, people with disabilities or residents of protected areas and/or rural areas.

This amount may be co-financed with 50% or 80% depending on the Autonomous Community in which the work centre of the person hired is located.
