The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment, through the Biodiversity Foundation, has launched a voting campaign to select the best green entrepreneur from among the 16 finalists of the second edition of the Red emprendeverde Awards via Twitter. The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment, through the Biodiversity Foundation, has launched a voting campaign to select through Twitter the “Special Mention of the Red emprendeverde Community” among the 16 finalists of the second edition of the Red emprendeverde Awards.
This contest seeks to recognize and support those green entrepreneurs who stand out for their contribution to the sustainable economy, helping them to create and consolidate their company and recognizing their ideas and initiatives.
Each of the two categories in the competition, “Emprende en verde” and “Crece y consolídate en verde”, will have this special recognition chosen directly by the Red emprendeverde community itself.
All members of the Red emprendeverde, from its community and all those interested in green entrepreneurship who follow the activities of the Network through one of its profiles on Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin or subscribe to their Newsletter. The rules and the voting system can be consulted in the Emprendeverde Network.
The voting period begins on July 21, 2014 and ends August 4 , 2014 at 23:59, peninsular time. The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony to be held in Madrid during the last quarter of 2014.
1. “Entrepreneurship in green” category

- HolycomB. New system to improve the production process of intensive beekeeping, making it less invasive and more profitable in economic and environmental terms. @HolycomB
- La Pina. It offers formulas for collective management of the forest, unifying small forest plots. @dani_dlucasg
- Mycology applied to Iberian ecosystems. Production of mycorrhizal inoculum in order to mycorrhize plants in nurseries and in the field, with the aim of producing mushrooms for sale. @FUNGIFOREST
- Pecoconuts. Dedicated to the production and marketing of personalized organic cosmetics. @Pecocos
