The director of the Biodiversity Foundation meets with the president of the Consell de Mallorca after the opening to the public of the Raixa estate

The director of the Biodiversity Foundation, Sonia Castañeda, met yesterday with the president of the Consell de Mallorca, Maria Salom, after the opening to the public of the Raixa estate, within the framework of the Joint Commission made up of the Biodiversity Foundation and the Consell de Mallorca.The meeting was also attended by the Minister of the Presidency, Jaume Juan; the island director of Institutional Relations, Maribel Crespí; the technical secretary of the Presidency of the Consell, Miguel Barceló; the mayor of Bunyola, Jaume Isern; and the deputy director of the Legal, Financial and Human Capital area of the Biodiversity Foundation, Antonio M. Hidalgo.

During the meeting, the members of the Consell de Mallorca informed the representatives of the Biodiversity Foundation of the current state of the estate after the completion of the restoration works of the gardens and the creation of the interpretation center of Raixa and the Sierra de Tramuntana, which opened to the public on March 20.

Likewise, the Council commented on the final approval of the ordinance regulating public prices for visits and uses of the facilities of the estate and the status of the public tender process that the island institution plans to convene to outsource its management.
