The Empleaverde Programme of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment, through the Biodiversity Foundation, is nominated for the European Public Sector Awards (EPSA). This initiative has been selected to receive a certificate of good practice, which is awarded to the projects that have obtained the best rankings in each category, regardless of the choice of the winners.
The European Union has awarded this certificate to 64 initiatives, out of a total of 266 from 36 countries submitted. Both the awards ceremony for the winners and certificates of good practice will take place on 17 and 18 November in Maastricht.
The empleaverde Programme, within which the Emprendeverde Network is framed, has been selected in category 1 dedicated to ‘Projects/cases presented by European, national or regional level organisations’, in which it competes with 160 other initiatives.
The EPSA 2015 European Public Sector Awards, organised by the European Institute of Public Administration EIPA, are held every two years and bring together the most innovative and efficient initiatives in the European public sector.
The 2015 edition, under the slogan “The Public Sector as a partner for a better society”, seeks to reward those cases promoted by the European public sector that adopt an integrated and participatory governance model, and increase effectiveness and efficiency in the context of maintaining social cohesion, as well as healthy public finances. or the intelligent action of public administrations to promote economic growth.
