The second edition of the service will soon be launched and, until 2023, we will train more than 600 entrepreneurs with sustainable business ideas.

The Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) has closed the first edition of the “Emprendeverde Itineraries” initiative. The aim of this service is to provide free online training until 2023 to more than 600 entrepreneurs with sustainable business ideas, which contribute to a green recovery and the conservation of biodiversity.

This action is part of the Emprendeverde Network (REV) of the Empleaverde Programme, co-financed by the European Social Fund, an initiative coordinated by the Biodiversity Foundation to promote the creation of businesses with a positive environmental impact.

Emprendeverde Itineraries is a free online training and experimentation service specialising in green entrepreneurship, from which in this first edition more than 170 entrepreneurs have benefited with projects linked to sustainable rural tourism, environmental training, circular economy, sustainable agriculture, biodiversity conservation or responsible consumption. among other sectors.

The participants have been distributed in three itineraries, according to the moment in which their project was, which have had objectives adapted to each stage of their entrepreneurial project. Thus, in the Ideation Itinerary , the participants have worked on the analysis of the environmental need to be addressed, on the identification of business opportunities and, finally, on the design and testing of a prototype of their business idea.

In the Creation Itinerary , entrepreneurs have focused on the improvement and validation of their green business idea, with the aim of moving towards the definition of such relevant parts of the business plan as the marketing mix or the economic and financial plan. In this itinerary, training has been carried out on the business model, the marketing plan, negotiation strategies, the management of objections in the sale, the structure and development of the economic and financial plan, entrepreneurial skills and impact evaluation, among others.

Finally, in the Alumni Itinerary they have worked on strengthening and validating their project, with training on digital marketing, application of ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) criteria, creativity and innovation.

The participants have received 60 hours of tutored training, as well as materials and templates to advance in their respective projects. These trainings have been given by a team of 11 trainers specialised in the different topics addressed, which have been complemented by talks by professionals and consolidated organisations with a high positive green impact such as the La Rábida Observatory, Koiki, Som Energia and Fundación Entretantos.

The Biodiversity Foundation will soon launch the second edition of the service aimed at launching projects linked to green recovery, biodiversity conservation and the promotion of a fairer ecological transition. By 2023, more than 600 entrepreneurs will be trained with sustainable business ideas. The people who participate in these trainings will have the support of the REV to disseminate their project and will become part of the Alumni Community of the Emprendeverde Network.
