The Minister of the Environment, Cristina Narbona, has inaugurated the VI National Congress of Environmental Journalism organized by the Association of Environmental Information Journalists (APIA). This Congress, which will be held on 23 and 24 November in the Assembly Hall of the Spanish National Research Council, is dedicated to the energy sector and among the topics to be discussed are renewable energies, nuclear energy, energy saving and efficiency, responsible consumption and the effects of climate change in Spain.

The Minister was accompanied by the President of the CSIC, Carlos Martínez, the Secretary General of Energy, Antonio Fernández, the Deputy Minister of Environment and Territorial Planning of the Community of Madrid, José Trigueros, and the President of APIA, Luis Guijarro.

APIA, which is made up of more than 150 media professionals and press offices, aims to rigorously disseminate environmental information and facilitate dialogue between its members and information sources.
