The Observatory of Sustainability in Spain (OSE), based at the University of Alcalá, as Focal Point of ESPON (European Spatial Planning Observation Network) in Spain, by designation of the Ministry of the Environment, organizes at the University of Alcalá on May 11 and 12, a transnational seminar entitled “Critical dimensions for sustainable territorial management in Southern Europe: Trends, situation and future perspectives”.
This seminar aims to promote dialogue between the scientific community and policy-makers on the territorial management of Southern Europe, its perspectives, opportunities and challenges for the future. Experts from different European countries, such as Germany, Cyprus, France, Greece or Portugal and from other Mediterranean countries such as Morocco and Tunisia, will participate. This dialogue will serve to strengthen existing networks so that we can make sustainable development a reality at the territorial level in accordance with our demographic and social needs and our particular circumstances.
