The resolutions of the World Conservation Congress, available in Spanish

During the IUCN World Conservation Congress, which was held in Jeju (Korea) between 6 and 15 September, several resolutions and recommendations were drafted and are now available in Spanish.

In total, 183 proposals were approved, of which there are 137 resolutions, addressed to IUCN, and 46 are recommendations that are addressed to different agencies and institutions.

At the national level, all the proposals made were approved. There were 17 Spanish resolutions and 7 recommendations, of which 60% are related to climate change, species, the marine environment and environmental policy. In addition, at the global level, proposals related to human well-being, species, ecosystems and protected areas are added.

The World Conservation Congress is the international event related to conservation. Organized by IUCN, an environmental network that has more than 1,200 members, this meeting allows NGOs, experts and professionals in the environment and public administration to meet in the same meeting. As a national representation, in the last edition, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Generalitat de Catalunya, Fundación Naturaleza y Hombre, Acciónatura, Sociedad Geológica de España, SEO/BirdLife and the Technical Office of CeIUCN were present.
