The headquarters of the Biodiversity Foundation in Seville, located in the central square of the Patio de Banderas, has hosted the Assembly of members of the Spanish Committee of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). The Spanish Committee of the IUCN, which brings together 40 entities, including the Biodiversity Foundation itself, aims to preserve natural heritage and biological diversity, acting as a platform for meeting and debate among them.

This conference was attended by the director of the Foundation, Sonia Castañeda, who received the attendees at the headquarters and reminded them of the availability offered by the Biodiversity Foundation to “hold environmental activities in this historic headquarters located in a privileged space”.

During the following days, the International Forum on Nature Conservation will be held, also in Seville, in which the Biodiversity Foundation will participate. This Forum, which will be attended by nearly 150 representatives of different organizations and institutions, will analyze the state of nature protection in Spain and the roadmap of conservationism until 2020.
