Since 26 August, Spanish Television has been broadcasting the series “Discovering animal behaviour”, a documentary work in which the Biodiversity Foundation has collaborated.

The aim of the series is to disseminate the fieldwork carried out by prestigious researchers from the Spanish Society of Ethology (SEE), in order to help the general public understand why animals act in a certain way in a specific situation and how this behaviour responds to natural selection, responsible for the evolution of species.

The series is made up of 21 episodes that are broadcast daily on TVE’s La 2, at 2:30 p.m. Twelve of these documentaries were already broadcast last year by TVE, which this season also premieres another nine chapters made with the support of the Biodiversity Foundation, which in this way has wanted to contribute to the task of raising awareness in society regarding the conservation of species and the maintenance of biological diversity.

With the support of this series, the Foundation aims to bring biodiversity closer to the general public, contributing to raising society’s knowledge and sensitivity in relation to its environment and the species that share life on Earth with us.
