The awards of the third edition of the Tweets Awards, Twitter’s first awards in Spain, have been presented, where the best tweeters in our country in 2013 have been chosen.

The members of the Academy of the Tweets Awards, experts in their categories, were in charge of selecting the nominees. And the Twitter world has voted via Twitter. More than 5,000 votes received in the voting period reflects the growing interest in these awards. The hashtag #TAW2013 has been TT (Trending Topic) during the two days that the event lasted.

The Twitter account of the Red emprendeverde, @emprendeverde, of the Biodiversity Foundation, has been nominated for the Tweets Awards in the #TweetGreen category. @emprendeverde was selected for being “a pioneer in the ‘green business’, for offering very useful information and resources on entrepreneurship in this sector, also facilitating meeting points between investors and entrepreneurs”.

After the popular vote, the winner in the #TweetGreen category was Roberto Ruiz @Roberto_R_R, president of the Association of Environmental Sciences.
