The director of the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment, Sonia Castañeda, has participated as a jury in the first Venture Network on green entrepreneurship, an event organized by IE Business School and BStartup of Banco Sabadell, in collaboration with the Biodiversity Foundation, through its Empredeverde Network, and which brings together some of the best startups related to the world of sustainability and environmental improvement.
The company Sadako has been the winner of this meeting in which startups such as Modular Concept, a company dedicated to the design and creation of highly thermally and acoustically efficient spaces, Ecolagunas, a consultancy specialising in wastewater treatment, Respiro Car Sharing, a sustainable mobility APP, and Quosys have also exhibited their work, dedicated to energy saving in multi-site organizations. The winning idea, Sadako, develops an automated waste separation system, capable of recovering material in urban waste treatment plants.
The jury was composed, in addition to Sonia Castañeda, by the director of Entrepreneurship, Ángel San Segundo; the coordinator of Creas Inicia, Francisco Soler, the associate at Vivergi Social Impact Fund, Lara Viada; the director of Bstartup Banco Sabadell, Yolanda Pérez, and the director of Venture Network IE Business School, Paris L’etrac.
