Coinciding with World Environment Day, a conference with green entrepreneurs, Greenweekend Madrid 2016, was held at the GOOGLE Campus Madrid, which allowed various entrepreneurs to share their projects focused on the green economy.
The director of the Biodiversity Foundation, Sonia Castañeda, closed this event, in which she highlighted “the potential of green businesses, respectful of the environment and that promote the circular economy. These entrepreneurs, such as those of the Emprendeverde Network, which already has more than 7,700 members, are part of an economy that is one of the fastest growing in recent years, according to the report “Investment in the creation and development of green companies in Spain”, published by the Biodiversity Foundation in 2016.
Of the ideas presented this afternoon, it was that of “Versailles” that had the highest score from the jury, among which was Sonia Castañeda herself. This project by four green entrepreneurs aims to create an app that allows you to create sustainable gardens or modify existing ones for more efficient gardens.
