The Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment, supports, once again, the MamaTerra Ecological Children’s Festival, which tries to raise awareness among the little ones about a responsible attitude to stop the loss of biodiversity and reduce the effects of climate change. The director of the Foundation, Sonia Castañeda, has visited the 31st edition of BioCultura, which will remain in Madrid until November 15.
This initiative, organized by the Healthy Life Association, has different activities such as workshops on organic gardens, cooking and renewable energies, sustainable and recycling vehicles. In addition, children will be able to enjoy games with which to learn about ecology and sustainability, music, shows and stories that promote values and respect for the environment. Talks and conferences are also organized for parents and educators on topics related to the importance of diversity and protection of our environment.
The MamaTerra Ecological Children’s Festival is an activity that seeks to teach children by playing everything that biodiversity implies and how they affect our actions to keep the Planet in the best conditions. Since 2007, this Festival has been part of BioCultura, a fair that is held in four Spanish cities: Madrid, Valencia, Bilbao and Barcelona.
