World Environmental Education Day is celebrated on January 26, 1975, when the International Seminar on Environmental Education was held in Belgrade. An event that served to establish the principles of environmental education within the framework of the United Nations programs. In addition, the Belgrade Charter was published, which sets out the fundamental objectives of environmental education worldwide.
