European Car Free Day

In 2000, the European Commission declared the celebration of Car Free Day on September 22.
Every year, on this day, actions are promoted to raise awareness about the responsible use of motorized traffic and to promote ecological alternatives such as public transportation, bicycles or electric vehicles.
Many municipalities take measures to reduce traffic on this day, such as free public transport, for example.
