To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Spanish Aquaculture Observatory (OESA), the report “Innovating towards the future: 20 years of R&D&I in fisheries and aquaculture in Spain” will be published, with the aim of compiling and analyzing all available information on R&D&I activities financed with public funds in the last 20 years related to fisheries and aquaculture activities, as well as the processing and marketing of aquatic products.
The Spanish Aquaculture Observatory (OESA) is a project of the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge that aims to serve as a platform for monitoring and analyzing the development of aquaculture in Spain, promoting its sustainability, strengthening its image in society, supporting research projects, technological development and, especially, environmental innovation, fostering the transfer of knowledge and supporting international cooperation.
