Press conference to present the Río Rúa project

• Rúa River Project for the Restoration and Integration of the Sequillo River Ecosystem as it passes through the historic site of Medina de Rioseco (Castilla y León)

The mayor of the City Council of Medina de Rioseco, David Esteban, Victoria Pérez, as representative of the Biodiversity Foundation, the rector of the University of Valladolid, Antonio Largo, the director of CESEFOR, Pablo Sabín and the director of AEICE, Efficient Habitat Cluster, Enrique Cobreros, present the project for the Renaturalization of the Sequillo River “RÍO-RÚA”, which has the support of the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) in the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (RTRP), financed by the European Union – Next Generation EU.

The project is an initiative of a group of entities led by the City Council of Medina de Rioseco and formed by AEICE, Efficient Habitat Cluster, the University of Valladolid and the CESEFOR Foundation, in the context of the actions linked to the activation of the RIOECOWORKING Innovation and Development HUB and with the support of all the socioeconomic agents of the town and region.
