Elena Pita, director of the Biodiversity Foundation (MITECO) participates in session 3 of the Welfare Congress that takes place on March 3, 4 and 5 at the Alkazar Theater in Plasencia. He will take part in a session entitled “Nature and the food industry”, in which he will share a table with Federico Buyolo, director of cultural innovation at the José Ortega y Gasset-Gregorio Marañon Foundation. The food industry is one of the sectors that has the greatest impact on the environment after fossil fuels. What is the role of pedagogy in promoting sustainable food? How to design public policies to promote food and environmental health? What should be the role of traditional media and networks in expanding public understanding of food science and technologies? These and many more questions will be answered at this table.
