This Award, launched by the Ministry through the Biodiversity Foundation, has had as its main objective to involve these establishments in the initiative “One Million Commitments for the Climate”, which highlights all those gestures of citizens, companies and institutions, committed to action against climate change, in view of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. which will be held at the end of the year in Paris (France).
All the beach bars adhered to the Decalogue of Good Environmental Practices of the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment have been able to participate in these awards. Once the submission period was over, each of the participating establishments were able to add their commitments and encourage their customers and suppliers to do so. Thanks to this initiative, nearly 6,000 commitments have been achieved, of which more than 4,000 belong to the winning beach bar.
