The deadline for submitting applications to the Spanish section of the European Business Awards for the Environment, coordinated by the Biodiversity Foundation, is now open

These awards recognise and reward those companies that successfully combine the economic viability of their businesses with sustainable management.

The Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry for Ecological Transition has opened the registration period to submit candidatures for a new edition of the European Business Environment Awards (EBAE), in its Spanish section.

These awards, organised since 1987 by the European Commission, are organised to recognise those companies that successfully combine the economic viability of their businesses with the protection of the environment through innovation in management, processes, products or services they offer, business cooperation or combining business and biodiversity.

In Spain, the European Business Awards for the Environment have been held since 1997 and represent great prestige and recognition for companies both in society and in the world of business and sustainability; they improve their visibility and open up new business opportunities for them. The Biodiversity Foundation has been the entity in charge of managing the Spanish section since 2013.

These awards are aimed at private companies with their own legal personality and headquarters in Spain that have committed to the environment and have a commitment to sustainable development. The terms and conditions of the call can be consulted on the Foundation’s website.

This year, companies can apply for 5 different categories: Management, Process, Product and/or Service, International Business Cooperation and Business and Biodiversity. In addition, each award will be endowed with two awards, one for small and micro enterprises and the other for medium and large enterprises.

The deadline for submitting applications will end on November 12, 2019 and interested companies must complete the official application forms.
