MITECO launches a new edition of its free advisory services to help set up new green companies

October 19, 2021- The Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) has launched new editions of its free mentoring and advisory services to help entrepreneurs set up new companies that contribute to a green recovery and the conservation of biodiversity.

These actions are part of the services offered by the Emprendeverde Network (REV), co-financed by the European Social Fund, the largest network of green entrepreneurs in Spain, which already has nearly 10,000 members and whose objective is to promote the creation of businesses with a positive environmental impact.

In the mentoring service, more than 460 hours will be taught with specialized content adapted to the needs of the enterprises and will generate synergies and workspaces where the interests of entrepreneurs can be shared. They are aimed at people who have a business idea and are in the pre-market phase, but need support in certain aspects of their project.

At the same time, a free advisory service is offered to help in the incorporation of green companies through personalized support in the procedures to register your company. In addition, they will receive training on the incorporation process.   This service is aimed at entrepreneurs with a very advanced business model and who need support to set up their green company. With these actions, it is expected to support about 200 people in the coming months.

Interested citizens can register for the different services through the websites set up for this purpose (https://mentoring.emprendeverde.es/https://constituye.emprendeverde.es/). Once the applications have been received, the applications will be evaluated according to criteria such as the potential for positive environmental and social impact of their ventures, their contribution to the conservation of biodiversity and green recovery or their degree of innovation. In the selection, priority will be given to people who belong to priority groups such as women, young people up to 35 years of age, over 45 years of age, immigrants, people with disabilities and residents of protected areas or rural areas.

Until 2023, the Emprendeverde Network will offer free services to some 1,000 entrepreneurs through the different actions that it will launch to support this group. Specifically, it will offer training for 600 people in the Emprendeverde Itineraries; mentoring for about 150 people in the Entrepreneurship Mentoring and advice for the incorporation of companies for about 240 people thanks to Constitute #TuEmpresaVerde.

PROMOTING THE CREATION OF NEW GREEN COMPANIES

The objective of these actions of the Emprendeverde Network is to promote the start-up of new viable and more resilient companies, which contribute to a green recovery, the conservation of biodiversity and to promote a fairer ecological transition. The people who participate in these actions will also have the support of the REV to disseminate their project.
