1st Technician (temporary) for the Cities Area

Manage, evaluate and carry out the technical and economic monitoring of projects linked to communities of practice in the area and calls for aid co-financed by the National Plan for Recovery, Transformation and Resilience, “Next Generation EU” and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), aimed at the renaturalisation of cities, promoting the improvement of the connectivity of spaces and the resilience to climate change of Spanish cities

  • Participate in the preparation of documents associated with calls for proposals for grants and contracts (tenders and other contracts). Manage these processes and resolve doubts to the requesting entities.
  • Evaluate the proposals submitted to the calls for proposals and contracting.
  • Train, accompany and assist the beneficiary entities during the different phases of the projects.
  • To carry out the technical and economic follow-up of the execution, justification, liquidation and payment of the projects and the call for proposals. Define documents, models and indicators for monitoring and evaluation.
  • Review the execution of the project actions, as well as the associated documents to ensure compliance with the purpose of the calls and the renaturalization criteria defined by the area (specifications for tenders, executive projects, etc.).
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation associated with projects and calls for proposals.
  • Collect monitoring, performance and result indicators.
  • Collect and provide information for dissemination and communication.
  • Participate in the organization and attend meetings, events and training related to the Area’s activity.
  • Participate in the preparation and design proposals for action to meet the objectives of the Cities Area and for the better performance of the tasks of execution, evaluation, monitoring and control of the projects.
  • To monitor developments in regulations, strategies, plans, programs and projects related to the Area and its activities: identification of best practices and activities, preparation of speeches and presentations, participation in publications, etc.
  • Support in the control and auditing processes of the activities developed.
  • Prepare documentation and information reports on projects and procurements (databases, reports, presentations, graphic material, notifications, etc.).
  • Any other function entrusted by the Heads, Coordination, Subdirection and/or Direction.
  • Bachelor’s degree (also former Diplomatura and Licenciatura).
  • Experience of at least 3 years in the drafting, management and/or monitoring of projects related to urban renaturation, the transformation of urban space or restoration of the natural environment through renaturation actions, green infrastructure or ecological restoration.
  • Experience of at least 2 years in the management of projects within the framework of calls for grants with European co-financing.
  • Experience in the study and application of Nature-Based Solutions as a tool for adaptation to climate change.
  • Experience in promoting community programmes by carrying out tasks of dynamisation, facilitation, mediation and promotion of sustainable actions.
  • Training in areas related to urban renaturation and ecological connectivity (sustainable management of natural resources, sustainable urbanism, ecological restoration, urban ecology or others).
  • Training in analysis and measurement of indicators in urban renaturation.
  • Knowledge in management of structural funds in the period 21-27.
  • English medium proficiency (B2 level or equivalent).
  • Fixed-term temporary contract for the execution of projects financed with European Union Funds (Fifth Additional Provision of Royal Decree-Law 32/2021), with the professional category of FIRST TECHNICIAN.
  • Location of the position: Fundación Biodiversidad headquarters in Madrid.
  • Gross Annual Salary: €33,373.05
  • Maximum expected duration: maximum until 12/31/2029.
