Promote projects and calls for aid that promote an economy that benefits biodiversity and achieve impact transformations in line with the conservation of natural heritage and rural development, especially in the field of sustainable use and management of forest resources and through the better use of the funds of the Recovery Plan, Transformation and Resilience, Next Generation EU, and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) allocated for this purpose.

  • Encourage projects managed within the framework of the calls for proposals to benefit biodiversity and resource conservation and to achieve transformational impacts in the areas of green employment, ecological transition and the demographic challenge.
  • To accompany and assist the entities requesting projects during the presentation, execution, justification and settlement of the projects and to carry out the technical and economic monitoring of the projects of the calls for proposals in the area. Carry out the technical monitoring, justification, settlement and payment of the projects.
  • Prepare technical reports, databases, indicators and documents associated with the area’s projects, calls and initiatives on bioeconomy and green infrastructure for reporting, communication and dissemination needs.
  • Evaluate proposals submitted to the calls for proposals.
  • To support the control and auditing processes of the activities developed.
  • Participate in the organization of working groups, conferences, meetings and events related to the area’s activities.
  • Collaborate in the elaboration and design of action proposals for the fulfillment of the objectives of the area and for the best performance of the tasks of execution, evaluation, follow-up and control of the projects.
  • Monitor developments in regulations, strategies, plans, programs and projects related to the area and its activities: identification of best practices, case studies and activities, preparation of speeches and presentations, participation in publications, etc.
  • Elaborate the necessary tasks of analysis, identification of priorities and dissemination of results of the beneficiary projects of BF calls to the most relevant sectors and actors.
  • Support in the tasks of communication of results, preparation of press releases, report reports and organization of conferences and events related to the transfer of knowledge, presentation of initiatives and dissemination of results.
  • Any other function entrusted by the Heads, Coordination, Subdirection and/or Direction.
  • University Degree (also former Diplomatura and Licenciatura) in Biology, Environmental Sciences, Geology, Forestry/Forestry Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or other Earth Sciences.
  • At least 3 years of experience in project management related to conservation, restoration and sustainable management of natural resources.
  • Experience in initiatives aimed at the maintenance and conservation of green infrastructure in rural/agricultural areas, and experience of working with the sectors involved, as well as participation in projects related to the bioeconomy and the promotion of sustainable uses with the conservation of natural resources such as sustainable forest management, extensive livestock, good agricultural practices, etc.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the management of calls for proposals and public funds.
  • Specific training or experience of at least 1 year in management aspects related to the Public Sector Contracts Law and the General Subsidies Law.
  • English medium proficiency (B2 level or equivalent).
  • Immediate availability.
  • Fixed-term temporary contract for the execution of temporary programmes whose financing comes from European Union Funds (Fifth Additional Provision of Royal Decree-Law 32/2021), with the professional category of 1st TECHNICIAN.
  • Location of the position: Fundación Biodiversidad headquarters in Madrid.
  • Gross Annual Salary: 33,373.05.
  • Expected duration: until December 2029.
