Call for 1 1st (temporary) Technician in the Bioeconomy Area

To monitor and execute projects in a recently created area of the Foundation for the promotion of the bioeconomy in Spain and the best use of the funds of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, Next Generation EU, allocated for this purpose.
Encourage the projects managed to promote an economy that benefits biodiversity and achieve impact transformations in line with the conservation of natural heritage and through Nature-Based Solutions, especially in the field of conservation, use and management linked to the forest field.

  • Encourage the projects managed to promote the bioeconomy, benefit biodiversity and the conservation of resources, achieve impact transformations in the field of green employment and the demographic challenge, and especially in the field of forest bioeconomy.
  • Prepare documents associated with calls for subsidies and contracts in the field of bioeconomy. Manage these processes and resolve doubts to the requesting entities
  • Evaluate the proposals submitted to the calls for proposals and contracting.
  • Accompany the entities and carry out the technical and economic follow-up of the projects and the justification, liquidation and payment procedures. Produce technical reports and content for dissemination and communication.
  • To support the control and auditing processes of the activities developed.
  • Participate in the organization and attend meetings and events related to the area’s activity.
  • To elaborate and design action proposals for the fulfillment of the Area’s objectives and for the better performance of the tasks of execution, evaluation, follow-up and control of the projects.
  • Prepare documentation and information reports on calls, projects and contracts (databases, indicators, reports and notes, presentations, graphic material, notifications, etc.).
  • Monitor developments in terms of regulations, strategies, plans, programmes and projects related to the Area and its activities: identification of good practices, case studies and activities, preparation of speeches and presentations, participation in publications, etc.
  • Any other function entrusted by the Heads, Coordination, Subdirection and/or Direction.
  • Bachelor’s degree (also former Diplomatura and Licenciatura).
  • Experience of at least 3 years in management of projects related to the environment.
  • University Degree (also former Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree) in Biology, Environmental Sciences, Geology, Forestry/Forestry Engineering or other Earth Sciences, Agricultural Engineering, Law, Economics, Politics or other similar.
  • Specific training and experience in matters related to the sustainable management of natural resources, especially in aspects and projects related to the management and use linked to forestry as a key conservation resource, local bioeconomy and demographic challenge. Experience in the environmental third sector and/or at the municipal level.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the management of calls for proposals and public funds.
  • Specific training or experience of at least 1 year in management aspects related to the Public Sector Contracts Law and the General Subsidies Law.
  • English medium proficiency (B2 level or equivalent).
  • Immediate availability.
  • Fixed-term temporary contract for the execution of the Recovery,
    Transformation and Resilience Plan. (Fifth additional provision of Royal Decree-Law 32/2021), with professional category Technician.
  • Gross Annual Salary: €30,245.98
  • Job location: Fundación Biodiversidad headquarters in Madrid.
  • Expected date of incorporation: January 2023.
  • Expected duration: 3 years.
