Technician (temporary) of the Bioeconomy Area

The mission of the bioeconomy area is to promote calls for grants, initiatives and projects that promote the agroecological transition, good agricultural practices and environmental improvement in general in agricultural environments. In addition, we promote other sustainable uses in the territory such as sustainable forest management and exploitation, extensive livestock farming, or all those activities compatible with the conservation of natural resources. All this, with a special focus on the recovery of the ecological functionality of threatened wetlands such as Doñana or Mar Menor and on the sustainable territorial development of their surroundings, achieving the best use of the funds for these purposes.

  • Accompany and assist the applicant entities during the presentation, execution, justification and settlement of grants and projects and carry out the economic monitoring of the calls for proposals in the area.
  • Carry out all the tasks necessary for the justification, settlement and payment of projects and/or aid, including reviewing the adequacy of the expenses incurred by the projects to the applicable regulations.
  • Support for the economic and financial management of the projects: control of expenses executed within the framework of each call and project, compilation and archiving of supporting documentation and inclusion in the expense control tool of each project.
  • Technical and administrative monitoring of the area’s transversal contracting and other internal procedures of the area (travel, expense control, control of administrative tools, etc.).
  • Prepare technical reports, databases, indicators and documents associated with projects, calls and initiatives in the area for reporting, communication and dissemination needs, mainly in relation to economic aspects.
  • Support in the evaluation of the proposals submitted to the calls and in the review of economic aspects.
  • Support in the control and auditing processes of the activities developed.
  • Support in the organization of work groups, conferences, meetings and events related to the activity of the area.
  • Control of the project and area agenda, attending both to the scheduling of milestones and objectives of the projects, as well as to the delivery of follow-up reports (internal and external).
  • Collaborate in the elaboration and design of action proposals for the fulfillment of the objectives of the area and for the best performance of the tasks of execution, evaluation, follow-up and control of the projects.
  • Technical support in the design and preparation of new calls for aid, mainly in their economic aspects, as well as projects and activities specific to the area.
  • Monitor developments in regulations, strategies, plans, programs and projects related to the area and its activities: identification of best practices, case studies and activities, preparation of speeches and presentations, participation in publications, etc.
  • Any other function entrusted by the Heads, Coordination, Subdirection and/or Direction.
  • Bachelor’s degree (also former Diplomatura and Licenciatura).
  • Experience of at least 2 years in tasks similar to those described above.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, etc.) at user level.
  • Experience and training in management and economic justification, projects and aid financed with public funds.
  • Experience and/or training in the public sector, Public Sector Contracts Law and Subsidies Law.
  • Experience of working or collaborating with entities in the agricultural and livestock sector and/or participation in projects and initiatives related to the agroecological transition and good agricultural practices.
  • Average level of English (B1 or equivalent).
  • Temporary contract (interim for the replacement of a person with the right to reserve a position) in accordance with current legislation, with the professional category of TECHNICIAN.
  • Gross Annual Salary: €27,807.37.
  • Job location: Fundación Biodiversidad headquarters in Madrid.
