Promote research projects that promote scientific knowledge applied to biodiversity planning and management, addressing diverse topics related to marine and terrestrial biodiversity and ecological transition, with special attention to sustainable energy transition, green infrastructure or desertification. There will be a special focus on the supervision and monitoring of projects under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, Next Generation EU and European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) funds.

  • Manage calls for bids and tenders: participate in the technical design and elaboration of
    invitations to tender, specifications, forms and procedures associated with invitations to tender and bidding processes
    (or other contracting). Manage the publication process and provide support during the period of
    submission of applications in calls for bids and proposals in tenders. Perform the
    monitoring and evaluation of applications. Process consultations with the advisory bodies in the following areas
    and incorporate their results in the technical evaluation. Prepare and assist the
    evaluation committees and prepare technical evaluation reports on the evaluation of the calls for proposals.

  • Follow up on projects and contracts: assist coordination in work planning and team organization. Technical and economic monitoring of the

    Accounts (TC), European Commission (EC) and other third parties as required. Analyze requests
    information and prepares the response and supporting documentation.
  • Participate in events and/or represent the Fundación Biodiversidad: organize and attend
    meetings and events (presentations, workshops, conferences, seminars, forums, awards, debates, working groups, etc.). Support in logistics and prepare necessary documentation
    (program, presentation, background information, working documents, messages for the
    intervention, minutes, report of conclusions, etc.).
  • Contribute to the improvement of management: follow up on developments in the status of the
    art and in terms of strategies, plans, regulations, programs or projects related to
    the activities of the area and the ministry of assignment. Develop proposals for improvement and
    contribution to the best performance of the tasks performed in the area.
  • Perform any other function entrusted by the coordination, sub-direction and/or direction of the Fundación Biodiversidad.
  • Bachelor’s degree (also former Diplomatura and Licenciatura).
  • At least five years of experience in research or projects related to the
    terrestrial and marine biodiversity, green infrastructure, and ecological connectivity and/or transition
    energy and its implications for biodiversity.
  • At least five years of experience in project management.
  • Knowledge of the academic sector and Public Research Organizations.
  • Experience in the public sector.
  • Specific training or experience in the Public Sector Contracts Law and the General Law on Public Sector Contracts.

  • Advanced English proficiency (C1 level or equivalent).
  • Immediate availability.
  • Temporary fixed-term contract for the implementation of projects financed with
    European Union funds. (Fifth Additional Provision of Royal Decree-Law 32/2021), with
    professional category of CHIEF.
  • Gross Annual Salary: 40,654.72 €.
  • Location of the position: Fundación Biodiversidad headquarters in Madrid.
  • Maximum planned duration: until December 2029
