OBJECTIVE: To train the unemployed in disciplines related to the fight against climate change

DESCRIPTION: The project includes the implementation of 12 training actions and 1 individualized advice action. The main theme is climate change adaptation and mitigation. The structure of the training actions is carried out considering one of the usual classifications that is made in a climate change adaptation and mitigation plan. Thus, there are actions that are encompassed and those known as “gray measures”; that is, actions that use engineering and/or technology to fight climate change. Among them, photovoltaic solar installations for self-consumption, electric vehicle charging facilities, drone piloting for control, monitoring and mapping of green roofs and infrastructures. Other actions are related to the so-called “green measures”. Those that are directly related to the use of green infrastructures as a way to adapt to and mitigate climate change. In this second block, actions such as the design and implementation of green roofs and vertical gardens, maintenance of nature-based solutions, gardening adapted to climate change and the development and supervision of control plans for harmful organisms are integrated. Finally, another series of training actions are proposed that are integrated into the typology of “soft measures”. These are measures that can be implemented without having to resort to large investments, works, modifications of the land or similar. These are measures that are related to planning, education, regulations, awareness, incentives, among others. Within this block, training related to the design of sustainable mobility plans, the design and implementation of tools for sustainable mobility such as the safe school path and the risk map and the design of local climate change adaptation and mitigation plans are proposed.
