The Agroefficiency initiative aims to train all agents in the primary sector (agriculture, livestock and agrotourism), as well as managers and workers in the agri-food industries in all aspects related to energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions (carbon footprint).

The Agroefficiency initiative aims to train all agents in the primary sector (agriculture, livestock and agrotourism), as well as managers and workers in the agri-food industries in all aspects related to energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions (carbon footprint).

Promoting more sustainable production systems, which result in the maintenance of green employment and the creation of new companies that are more respectful of the environment and with higher profit margins. Among the main objectives is to increase the competitiveness of agriculture, livestock, agrotourism farms and agri-food industry, promoting energy savings and efficiency, while reducing the carbon footprint in all their processes; raising awareness of the importance of producing more sustainable food; and to promote and disseminate the use of renewable energies.

The target audience of the project is mainly workers from SMEs and micro-SMEs, as well as self-employed workers.

The aim is to train 380 recipients, reduce electricity consumption in agricultural, livestock, agrotourism and agricultural holdings and create 3 companies in the agriculture/livestock/agribusiness sector that are more efficient from an environmental point of view, with less consumption of energy, water, fertilisers, phytosanitary products, etc.
