OBJECTIVE: To increase employability in the field of eco-sustainability

DESCRIPTION: Agriculture, livestock, fishing and forestry are sectors that are in the spotlight of the national objective of ecological transformation. Spain is one of the European countries with the largest and most important agricultural production, which represents a large employment niche that can be further strengthened and revalued through the promotion of appropriate policies. Castuera is no exception to this rule, as the municipality (although to a lesser extent than the region in which it is located) has a relevant percentage of jobs related to the agri-food world and, in addition, with a more than respectable number of sheep that more than multiplies the resident population and accounts for a quarter of the total number of sheep registered in the region.

Therefore, given the socio-economic characteristics of the municipality and the region, the promotion of actions in line with the Just Transition Strategy will generate a significant impact thanks to the push to take advantage of the opportunities of the type of local employment and the improvement of its competitiveness. To this end, 3 training courses will be given and 4 counseling sessions will be carried out.
