The ultimate objective of this initiative is to contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, derived from the construction action and fitting out of buildings, contributing to the reconversion of the construction sector in Andalusia, Castilla-La Mancha and Extremadura.
In this way, energy efficiency will be achieved in the construction and rehabilitation processes of buildings, and specifically:
- To generate business initiatives dedicated to the energy rehabilitation of buildings.
- To contribute to the creation of green employment, derived from new business services that contribute to the energy saving and efficiency of buildings, under the protection of the business opportunities offered by Law 2/2011, of 4 March, on Sustainable Economy, and international legislation in this regard.
- To contribute to adapting a stock of energy-inefficient buildings and homes to current regulations on energy efficiency and environmental protection.
- To contribute to the development of a sustainable production model in the construction sector.
- Promote debate, exchange of experiences and technological innovation.
- Venture innovative solutions that overcome the awareness, economic and financial barriers of the population to address the efficient rehabilitation of their buildings.
- Promote the need to simplify administrative processes that slow down the development of business initiatives in this regard.
The project is aimed at managers and workers of companies in the sector and subsidiaries, as well as active and unemployed liberal professionals, paying more attention to those over 45 years of age who are interested in developing a new business idea in their company or who wish to start a business action.
Thanks to the initiative, 120 recipients will be trained, although the project will reach a total of 660 workers. 30 companies in the construction sector and subsidiaries will also be created or converted to the energy rehabilitation of buildings.
