Córdoba Verde. Dynamisation and promotion of territorialised sustainable agri-food systems

Empleaverde+ program

Córdoba Verde is a programme focused on training and employment in the field of Sustainable Food. Coordinated by the Provincial Council of Córdoba in collaboration with Iprodeco and the Habitat 4 cooperative, it is co-financed by the ESF+ through the Empleaverde+ Program of the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.

It consists of a 280-hour training course aimed at qualification as a specialist in Agroecology and Biodiversity: sustainable food, aimed at people registered as job seekers in the Andalusian Employment System (SAE) and registered in the province of Cordoba.

Of the 28 people who receive the training, 7 will be selected to be hired full-time and with full dedication to the project for 16 months.

The main objective of the project is to promote sustainable food systems in the municipalities and regions of the province, highlighting the economic and social development potentialities that they entail and promoting the creation of employment and the fixation of population through the opportunities offered by food sustainability. In addition, it aims to have an impact on all links in the food chain through training and job creation: organic production, food processing, logistics and marketing, catering and the Horeca channel (hotels, restaurants and catering), sustainable tourism, conscious and local consumption, the fight against food waste, healthy and sustainable diets.
